Airport Arrivals

Alberta offers two options for international flights. Depending on where you are arriving from, different flight options may be available. If you plan on extending your stay in Alberta to see some of the other attractions the province has to offer, these options may be more impactful.

Edmonton International Airport (YEG)

  • Closest international airport to Edmonton.

  • Roughly 45 minutes transit from Airport to city.

  • Bus transit into city available. (Route 747)

Calgary International Airport
(YYC)

  • Centrally located to many Alberta attractions.

  • Roughly 2~3 hours from airport to Edmonton.

  • Bus transit from Calgary to Edmonton (Red Arrow)

Edmonton Transit

Edmonton is North America’s further north city with a population of over a million people. The city’s transit system is quite robust and provides: subway, bus, and LRT access to the city. Day passes for individuals or families (up to five) allow unlimited transition for a nominal fee.

The wedding and reception take place at the ‘Muttart Conservatory’ a conveniently short walk from the ‘Muttart Stop’ of the LRT ‘Valley Line’. If you plan on rending a car, there will be ample available parking at the conservatory.

Edmonton Hotels

While there are many accommodation options in Edmonton, we recommend considering an option on the Edmonton’s Best Hotels site as they do offer some great rewards. If you have a car you could stay nearly anywhere in Edmonton but if you’re using transit to get around locations near Valley Line LRT stations would be most convenient as the Muttart LRT station is literally right by the wedding venue. This means areas such as downtown would be easily accessible on a single LRT line.

Not included on the Edmonton’s Best Hotels site is the Fantasyland Hotel at West Edmonton Mall. If you’re already planning time at this well-known shopping and entertainment destination, you could also choose a theme room or other fun accommodation option there.
